27th February

I spent most of the day getting my room decluttered. Old clothes, kids toys and Lucy's art and craft supplies were taking up most of the floor space! It is a job I have been dreading doing, but once I got going wasn't too bad. The room feels much nicer now...will have to put one of my pretty doona covers on!

We had dinner at Mum's tonight while Keith and Tim were visiting.

When I went to relax after work, Alli had stolen my seat!

24th February

I looked after Kiera and Thomas today for the first time, I will be doing it every Thursday for my friend Rikki. The kids were so good all day! (Sam was a bit grumpy/tired after school!)

At the end of preschool today all the children had to show us the drawings they had done of themselves. I laughed when I saw Jackson's, and as I was taking the photo he pointed and said "Look mum, there's my willy!" Oh dear....

21st February

Jackson had homework tonight! He had to practice writing his name. He can usually write it quite well, but while he was copying he didn't do so well!

20th February

Lucy had her best friends party today. It was at Laserzone, which seems to be the in place for parties for this age group. Lucy had a blast!

19th February

The boys thought they were pretty funny by sitting in the front seat while Chris was fixing Jackson's carseat!

17th February

ZOOOOOM! Jackson is very quick on the scooter!It was our first day back at playgroup today. All the kids were tired and stuck inside most of the time due to the rain. At the end we let them go outside to have a quick play! This year will be our last year at our playgroup, it will be a little strange...the first time I went was when Lucy was 4 months old!

16th February

This are some of my team that were still working hard at 11pm auditing the stocktake from yesterday. They were exhausted! The rest of the team had already left by then.

15th February

Today was my first full school day without kids! The house was very, very quiet. I decided to ride round the lake. Some workmen were pulling trolleys out of the lake and had lined them all up! Not something you see everyday!

14th February

Jackson started preschool today! He is So excited to be so grown up. Here he is at the same gates that I stood at for a photo 28 years ago!

13th February

Lucy's braids came out today! She is leaving the frizz for a fun hair-do tomorrow! There are still quite a few in, because these ones took me a good 2.5 hours to take out!

12th February

When I go to work the boys like to use my pillows when they go to bed. They say they smell like me....seems a little odd to me but they love it. When I came home from working tonight they each had one of the pillows from my bed.

11th February

Jackson and I went for a ride around the lake this morning with our friend Rikki, Keira and Thomas. It was raining but we had a lovely morning!
Poor old Chris.....Snip, snip!!

10th February

I had to work late last night while some electricians changed our back up system. We would have been gone by 11.30-12 if they hadn't have done something to our lighting system. After they left I started to lock up and realised that our entire alarm system was dead.(to cut a loooong saga filled story short) After some trying to fix it and calling the security monitoring people I made the call to get a security guard to the store for the night...only there were no guards in Canberra available! The big boss of Bunnings came down to sit there for the night! Yaaaawn!

9th February

Natalie and Tynan, Jackson's best friend, came over today. Jackson and Tynan played and played! They both start preschool next week, on different days at different schools, so plays are going to be a bit harder to organise!

8th February

Back to school today. Sam has gone into year one and Lucy into year 5. Both their teachers seemed nice, and they both have a couple of friends from their old classes in with them. Sam started getting ready at 6.30am this morning, he was very excited to go! We made the teachers little presents too, just some fortune cookies in the boxes they are holding with a note saying I am so fortunate to have you as a teacher. Hopefully they like them! It was Jackson's last swimming lesson with his favourite teacher Ben. Ben doesn't teach on the days we have free now, so we made him a little present too with a note attched.

7th February

What a sad day today...the last day of a fantastic school holidays! We have done so much and had such fun.The kids had an easy going day full of play today. We also had Jackson's preschool interview. He was so excited! His teacher's name is Kylie and the assistant is Paula. We bought his preschool hat and 2 of the preschool t-shirts. Jackson made a name label for his bag hook. Some totally pointless info....None of my 3 kids have been to the same preschool. Lucy went to Higgins, which closed down, Sam went to Kingsford Smith, where we moved the kids from, and Jackson will be at Macgregor...which is the very same preschool I went to!!!  Full circle huh... I think he is in the other classroom to what I was in, but I will have to check with Mum on that one!

6th February

It's that time again! Getting all the books contacted, and labelled ready for school. This year I also have Jackson's lunch box, and his new preschool outfits to label too! Lucy has so many more books this year, she's going to have a lot of work this year for year 5! Sam is excited he gets his own pencil sharpener this year...the small things make life good!!

5th February

It was lifesaving week at swimming lessons. Lucy (on the left) is practicing saving lives! The bare back you can see in the far left of the photo is Sam, it was his first week in his new class in the deep end. He was very excited, even though he couldn't stand up, he worked hard!

4th February

School's back next week, so we went shoe shopping today. Amazingly Lucy's feet have grown even more (size 8 last fitting in August) and she is now a size 9.5 ladies!!! Hooley dooley! I now have the same size foot as my 9 year old child. (the half is growing room, so she is a 9) I better start locking up my heels!

Never trust 2 boys who are being very quiet early in the morning....every soft toy we had was part of this mountain!

Lucy got a new bike yesterday as an early birthday present from Meg. We went out for a ride this morning, before it got tooo hot!
