After a very busy month we had a pretty relaxing day today. We went to Mum's for dinner and a swim, to help celebrate Mark's Uni offer!

30th January

Happy Birthday Nanny!

We had a lovely time in Nowra for Jane's baby shower today. It was very hot, so after most people had left Jane led us down the cliff to the river and we had a very refreshing swim....before climbing back up the cliff and getting hot again!
I am really looking forward to Jane's baby arriving, Duke Henry, he is one spoilt boy already!!

29th January

We went to Moruya markets this morning. We had a ride on the horse and carts, with 2 beautiful Clydesdale horses called Michael and Charlie. The driver asked Sam to sit up the front the whole ride, the rest of us were in the cart. How lucky is he!?

28th January

Back to the coast! The boys had fun burying Mama's feet, while we all swam in the icy water!

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY

It was 38 degrees today, we spent a lot of the day in our air-con and then head back to Mum's for a cool down before coming home to our Australia Day BBQ!

25th January

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY to my beautiful, kind, thoughtful, gentle boy, Sam. I hope you enjoy being 6 as much as you did being 5.


As a special treat we took Sam to Big Splash Pools and waterslides today. Lucy, Jackson, Mark and Remy came along too. We had a lot of fun!!

Happy Birthday also to Meg, we went to the lake to celebrate both birthdays tonight. It was lovely having Nanny and Poppy down!

24th January

We spent most of the afternoon/evening in mum's pool with Remy, Mark and Aleesha. I used my new camera underwater for the first time, it was great fun!

23rd January

Jackson was a happy boy today, his rocket has been broken since about November, but it's all better now.
My wonderful friend Pam came with her boys today (from Tumut, it's a once a year visit.) (Chris and I know her from our bowling alley days!) and I forgot to get my camera out!!

We had high tea today, it was absolutely lovely!

21st January

We came home today. Chris had bought my b'day pressie online and didn't think it would make it here, as the shop was in the Brisbane CBD, but it did! He gave me a GHD hair straightener, I have wanted one for ages! Mum brought my pressie too, look at the fabulous dragon oil burner, I LOVE him. And I opened my present from Nanny while we were away, the GORGEOUS frogs. They are so cute. I was very spoilt! (I also got some great things for my new bike from Meg and Kees...still in the suitcase when I took this pic!)

20th January

We had a great time at Mogo Zoo today. While there the weather warmed up a bit and we were able to go to the beach for the afternoon, it was much warmer, in the water and out!

19th January

Only those crazy people from Canberra would go in the surf on a day like this. The water was apparently 9 degrees. We had numb toes.

18th January

Sammy is getting braver! Chris used to have to trail him up, now he is up like a shot! Chris is left helping Jackson now!

17th January

The weather wasn't great while we were away! The kids were always busy. Here they are obviously being super heros! Sam is a Super Pup!

16th January

Had a lovely birthday down the coast. We went to the beach in the morning, which was great fun, until Josh kneeled on some seaweed and also a bit of a bluebottle! Chris and Jackson made me a cake, and we improvised with candles! Sam took the great photos.

15th January

We drove to the coast house today!! Richard, Nic, Josh, Caitlin and Bonnie were waiting for us with a big lasagne YUM!

14th January

My last night at work for 3 weeks! It was also kind of my first night in my new role. These boots have served me well during my time at Bunnings, but I am in the search for some new, comfier ones! By the end of my holidays I am planning to have some! I got a birthday card from the team at work!

13th January

We went for morning tea with Jane and Jono today. The last time before they move back to Nowra. I have really enjoyed meeting up with Jane every couple of weeks and spending time with her (and her rapidly growing belly!)
This place is just amazing! They have hundreds of tea flavours to choose from, today we had cherry ripe!and the yummiest poffertjes!

12th January

Nicole came over today, with Emily, Adam and Abbie. We haven't seen them for a year, so it was lovely to catch up!

11th January

Lucy was feeling pretty wiped out today, so after a quick visit to the bank to swap the rest of her Fijian dollars over she lay down for the rest of the day. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

10th January

The boys were very happy to see Lucy back in Canberra. She is very glad to be home! (Jackson had just bumped his head before we arrived at Mum's)

9th January

So I waited for over an hour to get this photo. All the other passengers were walking out calmly, waving to people they knew. I thought it would be nice to get a photo of Lucy, Remy, Uncle Lee and Aunty Robyn doing the same. Remy came first, spotted me and waved madly. Then came Lee and Robyn, waving. I couldn't see Lucy. Then she poked her head round the corner, squealed and RAN! I took this, then had to push my way past people to get to her. She threw her arms around me, then Remy  (who ran after Lucy) hugged me too. I cried. It was lovely  Lucy was so happy to see me, even if I didn't get the photo I had planned. Welcome home Team Fiji!! So glad the trip was awesome!

8th January

Today was our last day of looking after Zilli! Tomorrow I will take her back to Sydney and swap her with Lee and Robyn for Lucy!
Hopefully Zilli has had fun here, coming for walks, bike rides, playing with the boys, and having pigs ears. She is one hard dog to get a photo of! She kept running away from me!

Lucy's room is all ready for her to come home to!

7th January

I bought a chore chart from Kikki-K last week, and have included the boys on it. Every morning I hear "What are my jobs today?" They LOVE helping out! They get a star if they do all their jobs for the day, and by the end of the week if they get stars each day they will get a treat. The jobs aren't hard, but I am letting them do more as they enjoy it so much. Today Jackson had to pick up his toys from his room, and vacuum!

6th January

We had afternoon tea with Meg today at a coffee shop next to a playground. The boys weren't happy here. Sam had been pushed off the roundabout by 3 naughty triplets (older boys) when I ran over Jackson yelled "Those mean naughty boys pushed Sam off" Terrible things! We did have a nice time anyway!

5th January

I started the big task of cleaning Lucy's room out while she is in Fiji. I have sorted through the clothes, and will do the rest of the stuff tomorrow. Hopefully it is all lovely and organised when she gets back! I also got my hair done...now it's all shiny!

4th January

I think Kimba is missing Lucy, she usually sleeps on her bed....Jackson loves it!

3rd January

Jackson's new bike!

He got it today after his old one's wheel broke. This is on the small side, but will get him through to his birthday, and by then will have had lots more practice without training wheels! It scares me the way he zips down hills now!

2nd January

Sam got lots of Lego for Christmas, he spent most of Christmas Day in his room building and then we were away for a week. He got up this morning and finished it off. He was very proud of himself as he did it all himself, following the instructions.

1st January

We travelled home from Sydney today, after being there for nearly a week. We took a detour and went to see Oma's new place in a retirement village, it was lovely.

Then when we got home we went for a late swim and birthday dinner (which she cooked while we swam!) for Mum.
